JFSA's Memorable Moments: Pass it on!

Recently a client came to JFSA looking for assistance in finding employment. One of our Employment Department Counselor’s met with this person and began to gather information about how to best serve him. Our counsellor discovered that the new client was a very skilled Cook, particularly with special diet dishes. Through various internal connections at JFSA our staff was able to find our client a job within the Community, where he has been greatly received. His customers have enjoyed his dishes so much, they've even asked for his recipes!

This initial employment connection through JFSA, paired with his new reputation as a successful Cook has further lead him to other employment opportunities.

This story is a perfect example of how community connection goes a long way! If you're looking for assistance with finding employment, please contact our wonderful Employment, Resettlement and Integration Department at 604-257-5151.

JFSA's Upgrading!

JFSA's phone system is being upgraded! Please be aware that this may take 2-3 weeks and we appreciate your patience if you experience any difficulties reaching us during this time. JFSA Thanks you again!
